New Read Around the Planet registration tools released today!
Check Time Zone
First, when you login and view your registrations under My Projects, Read Around the Planet, you’ll see the equipment used for the connection and the time zone on that equipment. This should list YOUR time zone. If it doesn’t, the equipment needs to be edited to get it right. This is critical for a correct match. Please check it!
Check Your Your Half of Match Report
You can also check your half of the detailed match report under the little “eye” icon on the registrations list. This is a preview of what the match information will look like. Check it over and see if there are any corrections to be made. If you have corrections, it might be in the equipment details, or the person’s account, or in the registration. Unfortunately you cannot current edit registrations (times etc.). So if it isn’t right, delete it and add again.
Registration by Coordinators With Many Endpoints
If you registered for teachers who don’t have accounts in CAPspace, and you have multiple endpoints that you support, you’ll need to “hook” those registrations to the equipment that will be used. This ensures a correct match based on equipment capabilities. So go to My Projects, Read Around the Planet, and you’ll see the endpoints listed alongside the registrations. Click the blue equipment icon for the appropriate equipment. It should change to a green checkbox as shown.
Seeing Registrations Down Several Levels
For those of you who are coordinating people who are coordinating people who are coordinating people and on down the people tree: If you want to see registrations created by people under you for people under them, go to Admin, My People. Then click on the tabs to get more details about the people under you. Show Open Events will show the registrations. It’s kind of clunky but should give you a gist of what’s going on below you.
