Videoconferencing Professional Development

The TWICE Professional Development Committee recently updated the PD section of the TWICE website. I would like to take this chance to point out to our blog readers some of our compiled training opportunities and resources.

The webpage is in two sections. Demonstrations & Workshops and Materials. The first section is a list of online courses and workshops.

The online courses are available at various times during the year and can be taken for college credit or SB-CEUs. These courses will instruct teachers in blending videoconferencing into their existing curriculum and develop peer to peer collaborations to reinforce classroom learning.

If you are considering a staff PD day or workshop, there are many content providers that would love to present, free of charge, to your group. Usually, they will provide an overview of their programs and equipment. They show video clips and talk about their facility. Sometimes they are able to present from a live exhibit. If you want to feature something specific, they are usually happy to tailor the session to your request

The second section of the website is helpful if you would like to personally present a videoconference workshop or presentation to a group.

This section contains our tried and true materials regarding videoconferencing for you to share with attendees.

There are presentation materials, PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, and sample videos available for download for you to share and discuss.

If you have web resources or materials you would like to share, please let us know, we will gladly consider them!
