April 16-18 we have three days of ASK programs with Janie Panagopoulos. Some of the sessions focus on the book Journey Back to Lumberjack Camp, and others focus on Train to Midnight. Janie is presenting from her home office and we have 3rd through 5th grade classes participating from across Michigan and Texas.
Here is a sample of the questions for Lumberjack Camp:
- How long did it take you to write this book?
- What’s your favorite book that you wrote?
- What type of book do you like to read?
- How did you get interested in history?
- How do you choose the names for the characters and animals in the story?
- What is your favorite part of the story?
Here are some of the questions for Train to Midnight:
- How did you develop the characters?
- How did they travel back in time?
- How did they know how to interact in that time period?
- How old do you have to be to publish books?
- Was writing your favorite subject in school?
- Where do you find the interesting words in the book?
- Why did you write the ending as you did?
One last TWICE ASK session on April 30, and then we are done for the year. Hopefully you can participate in a TWICE ASK program next year!
