The Collaborations Around the Planet (CAPspace) website has some new features! If you haven’t logged in for a while, come back and poke around. Here’s what to look for:
Create Collaborations
- After you login, go to My Projects, Collaborations, New.
- You can create a simple description and title, or you can create a more detailed collaboration description with agenda, learning outcomes etc.
- You can also create by template. The templates in the site are from Janine Lim’s project booklet. Others can add templates as well.
Collaborations and Stars
- Your profile includes stars that count projects and events such as Read Around the Planet and Megaconference Jr., as well as the collaborations you create. So you can create “past” or “idea” collaborations.
- The stars show up next to your name in a search and on your profile and represent your videoconference reputation in CAPspace.
Search Collaborations
- Click Search on the menu, and in addition to searching people, you can now search Collaborations. An “All” button shows all collaborations. The “Basic” search allows you to search by keyword, and the “Advanced” search adds the ability to search by grade, subject, collaboration creator, and equipment type.
New CAPspace Flyer
The one page flyer for Collaborations Around the Planet has been updated. Print it for your workshops this summer!
Thank you to Polycom for the ongoing partnership that has made this collaboration tool possible.
